Good question.  Also will soft clouds run w/o Rex essential as stand alone?

I think the answer is yes to both. This addon just adds a different set of "low level clouds", which are softer, etc. I think it's one of thise things that some people like a while lot more and for others it's "meh". I'd suggest looking at some screenshots and a video or two on youtube and if you like it just go for it at that low price...

I would say the biggest factor would be the texture installing is almost instant - graphic wise looks the same to me - but I cant go back to Rex Essential Plus Overdrive texture load times - painful - the auto update is a nice feature also

Thanks Rich, went ahead and bought it and started it up w/o Rex Essential +. So far not bad for less than $8.  Now I just may go pick up the Lionheart LJ 24b for less than $15usd.

Pete not quite right - thats not REX4 they are talking about -REX4 works fine just used not to long ago

yea I know  that  thought you were referring  to the auto updater  you can download   from the rex  that will update  your  patches  this  isn't  available  no more
