Do you know if they'll take a check?

Mike

No, bitcoins only.

Jetfighter version I, anyone?  It ran in DOS and had cool carrier landings.  You could land upside down on a carrier and the plane would still stop, as long as the tailhook was extended.  A later version had moving carriers -- they would even sail right up onto the shore!

LMAO at this thread !!!

IMHO, AVSIM could use more threads like this to cultivate a sense of humor in the forums !

I agree whole-heartedly.  The soul of AVSIM from 10+ years ago needs to be re-ignited!!  I miss those days!

I agree, but the funniest thread of all time has to be the "Patch" topic started by Ferd_Berful back in 2002. I just looked it up and it's still funny to this day, but some of the first few pages are missing for some reason.

Does F98 require an internet connection?

Yes, but it has to be dial-up.

Hi All,

Just been doing some heavy research the last few days and here you are:

If you want to really, really improve your FPS, add this line to your cfg.:

LargePartRejectRadius=1

Sorry, it will remove every single auto-gen structure, but man o man you will get a huge FPS jump.

If that doesn't do it for you, the next thing to do is to stuff up your FS98 install with anything possible. It has been discovered that the more you add to FS98, the faster it runs. If you run out of FS98 stuff, just start adding FS95.1 things. Then you will have a sim that you can use forever!

I see the men in the white coats are running down the hallway, so I better get going. If they let me out ever again I'll see if I can post more! (So take, take me home..........) (Bet you don't know where that is from!!)

(So take, take me home..........)

I can't remember. I've been a prisoner all my life!

I tried that but FS98 runs at double speed, even though the sim rate is set to normal.   Plane lands and takes off at 300 mph. It works OK at 1/2 normal speed though.  I'm going to try installing it on my Kaypro II, CPM 8mhz processor -- I have a special windows conversion program to run on it.

Ran away really fast from the white coats and locked myself in the computer lab.

Yep OK one P.C. fan.

Nope! Smoothness is always better, even at 5 FPS!!

Using that you'll need to wait for all the 3rd party developers to update their programs.
