Try this for better graphics in P3D 2.5

Posting this to help out with the 2.5 sub-par graphics its not perfect but pretty close - the VC is excellent I am only referring to the external visuals just a bit of shimmering - also with FXAA on you will see a bit of blinking lights on ftx global lights but if you shut this off lights wont blink but anti-aliasing will be a mess - for now have to deal with it - Rob suggested a new driver install fresh - clean your old ones out and use a cleaner then follow the pics I have posted - simple and easy do nothing other than what I have shown in nvidia control panel - in P3D menu its up to you - also like to pass on thanks to Steve in his post where he said try upping the DSR smoothness to 50 - over 50 looked like it actually got worse so for now this will get you a better looking sim - lets hope we can dump the DSR someday - LM hint hint

Forget NI as it will hit your FPS this is the best option without taking a hit - your DSR factor is your choice - I have picked the very first resolution upscale as I cant stand those tiny menus and the higher you go the smaller they get - also I am using a 32" monitor so that was fine on the first upscale - hope this helps - good luck

Wow Richard, this might be the best find! I just tried it on my i4770k with a 780ti. I can only go up to 2103x1183x32, but already it looks great and is very smooth. I have all the usual display settings, but I don't push all the sliders to the right, some slightly (water, tesselation)  and others in the middle (scenery, autogen), few shadows which are big FPS eaters. Still looks amazing!

I'm an envious AMD GPU owner. I'd love to play around with DSR settings.

I used to be too, but I'm not so sure anymore ? There is so many many posts regarding people's struggling with Nvidea here, that it has frightened me off converting. I'm not totally happy with my AMD, though it seems to be much more trouble free and performance enhanced than the majority posting here ? So little AMD chatter here, I'm sure there there must be good or bad reason for that ?

Sorry, good luck with the Nvidea tweeks.

The latest Omega drivers have the AMD DSR equivalent, Virtual Super Resolution (VSR).

I think the main reason that AMD is ignored is that it is a dead end as far as P3D and SLI is concerned.

Nvidia on the other hand despite it's faults with P3D will maybe.., one day..., offer full SLI support.

Richard what's the point of adding the p3d.exe to the already existing profile?

Prepar3D is listed because it is one of the programs already found on the computer.  ?

obviously i need glasses with 50% DSR. I normaly use 30% and the image is crisp and sharp. But with 50% it is totally blurred and i get headache when using it...

Sadly I agree way to soft. Tried from 10%- 50% I personally fine anything that gives that washed over look not good as bad as jaggies in a different way.

Everyone will have different opinions on this, no body is right or wrong its a taste thing.

Still thanks for sharing and the time Rich

Using DSR and TrackIR seem to add a delay, at least for me. Anyway, I just need to use 2x AA to get crisp gauges, which is amazing. In FSX I had to throw in every bit of AA...
