Problems after installing the 747X after a *long* time.

Recommended Posts

Hi folks.

I decided to try the 747X again in FSX, after many years.   I installed it from the installer that I have on my HD, that certainly appears to be the latest version and the same as that which is stored in my account at PMDG.

Unfortunately when I load the aircraft, as soon as I click on the "Option" menu item, within the "PMDG" menu of the menu bar in FSX, I get an immediate CTD.

This also happens if I try to access any of the "PMDG" menu items, with the 747X loaded (eg... "Key commands", etc).

I'm wondering if this is because I'm installed such an old PMDG product as the 747X, after the installation of the J41, NGX and 777 ?

Are there any solutions to this problem - I'd love to give the 747X another flight;  but I need access to those PMDG menus.

System Info:  Win 7 64bit, i7 2600k 3.8Ghz, 8GB DDR3, nVidia GTX 670 2GB,

Thanks.
