Is there any product, like Vector 1.2, for a frozen water surface for FS9?

Recommended Posts

I really like what Vector has done for Winter depiction...that of frozen lakes.

Is there any program released for FS9, that also creates this?  I have googled...but to no avail.

I would have thought that Zinertek would have included this capability in the Advanced Water product. Perhaps, though, you can't...

Wouldn't it be merely a swap out of a blue water graphic for the ice one?!?!?

Hello:

IIRC, the frozen water bodies scenery display option originated in FS9 with a Finnish developer as "FinnIce" by FISD / Janne Sinkkonen

http://files.fsnordic.net/?download=1363

This method was further explored and utilized by Holger Sandmann in his freeware FS9 Glacier Bay package, payware Misty Fjords.

There have been subsequent implementations of this frozen water bodies scenery display option originated for FS9 by others, ex:

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=frozen&FileName=&Author=wensley&CatID=root

Holger's implementations of this frozen water bodies scenery display option reportedly will again be available in some FSX payware products via OrbX FTX.

Hope this helps !

Right...but wouldn't it be great, Richard?  BTW, do you fly FS9?

BTW: Return To Misty Moorings (aka "RTMM") grew out of the original FS9 "Misty Moorings...which has many scenery packages still available for FS9:

And I forgot to mention that Holger had used the frozen water bodies scenery display option in 'most' of his add-on PNW sceneries available from FS-Addon and/or via SimMarket:

Happy Flying ! B)
