Ver 2.6.3 doesn't recognize devises by names

Recommended Posts

Okay, I did install fresh, surprisingly Linda doesn't recognize my devices by name any more

Fuel selector

DTA Rotary Encoder

And some GoFlight panel

I see them all on the configuration check list

But not on the  Joystick tabs

Any idea ?

Hi N1125Y

All development work is on hold due to real world commitments.  Many non-Joystick type devices were being introduced which were causing users problems.  If a device does not identify it as a joystick, I have had to block it and treat it as a special case.  What I would need to know for each of your devices is:

Name of Device

Vendor ID number (VID)

Product ID number (PID)

Type of Device

Use of Device

Further development work will not commence until the late autumn/herbst/fall at the earliest.

Note: LINDA 2.6.3 v2 has been made available to reduce Range Check error reports.

Hello Scott , and tnx for the prompt response

I upgraded to 2.6.3, but still Linda doesn't assign the name of the device, however, the device seems to function properly, and I can just, manually, rename the tab. so I assume we all good for now

Best Reg.

Hi Yair

Unless the manufacturer provides a definitive name for the device, LINDA has no way of picking these names up.  You need to go to the Joystick Setup page and enter a description for each device yourself and save these.

..and that exactly what I did  .... :P

I really like Linda, I wish I would be more technically oriented so I can fully advantage of Linda, but even though, she is very, very helpful

Tnx again for bringing Linda
