AA PROBLEM AFTER SETTING ON DX10

Recommended Posts

HELLO GUYS,

I AM USING FSX, AND I HAVE TRIED TO MAKE SOME SHADOWS IN THE COCKPIT.

SO I HAVE TURNED ON THE DX10 IN THE SIM.(THAS WHAT I HAVE HEARD THAT I SHOULD DO), AND I HAVE WRITTEN THIS:  ForceVCShadowMap=1   UNDER [Display] IN THE FSX.CFG.

SO NOW, THE SHADOWS IN THE COCKPIT ARE WORKING, BUT:

1. WHEN I AM CHOOSING AN AIRCRAFT IN THE SIM, THE AA LOOKS VERY LOW.  PIC- http://prntscr.com/6tbxta

2. IN THE FLIGHT ITSELF, THE AIRCRAFT AA IS OK. BUT THE SHADOWS IN THE COCKPIT LOOKS BAD.  PIC - http://prntscr.com/6tbxao

MY FSX SETT- http://prntscr.com/6tby85

I WOULD LIKE TO SOLVE THOSE PROBLEMS.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

((SORRY FOR THE POOR ENGLISH)).

THX!

1. There's no AA applied to that view, just in the sim.

2. The in cockpit shadows are low res and look blocky like that anyway.

Sorry to be dumb, but I've just got a new machine and trying DX10 for the first time. What is AA?. I can load my aerosoft airbuses in dx10 but my PMDG 777 just causes a black screen all the time, what am I doing wrong?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks Aaron

AA = Antialiasing, or the smoothing of pixelated edges in the image. Not sure what you are doing wrong, if at all. Maybe try a default cfg, also can try a dll.xml with just the necessary items for the flight with the 777.
