June 26, 200520 yr How to get an ATR VC with default Cessna plane behind it?I mean.. I am using 3 computers running WideView for outside views. (I have three front monitors and two monitors for left side view and right side view. My server is running the main FSim and the ATR-500 in VC Mode. But the other outside view has the default Cessna 172 in slew mode giving me the other windows. Currently, they have just the external view. What I want is the ATRs VC mode view of the other windows. which would mean that I have to load the ATR500 in the other computers. I want to avoid that.. Cause I want only the visuals of the ATR'2500 (VC and maybe even the 2D views). I don't want it taking any resoruces for guages etc. How do I accomplish this? any ideas?I basically want a default cessa 172 (I am assumimg this to be the one with least resource consuming aircraft) and then slap on the ATR-500 graphics to it. PS: I have posted this on the ATR forum as well. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
June 26, 200520 yr Hi,The VC is part of the aircraft model, so if you want to have the VC on your other systems as well, you need to install the ATR.If you are only interested in the VC graphics you could decide to remove all gauges from the panel.cfg.This should give you a performance boost. June 26, 200520 yr Thanks for that info. Is the panels the one that takes most of the performance hit?or is there anything else i can strip? Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
June 26, 200520 yr Author Hey Manny, not sure I am following you, but do you want the VC model views in the other windows and then the main VC with gauges in the main view?? If so you could try to make a new aicraft out of the MDL of the ATR and use either no panel or alias it to the default and then load that aircraft for the side views and the real ATR in the main. You won't get the gauge hit (if any) in the altered aircraft, but you should get the modeled interior.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
