Turn off bezel gns 530

Recommended Posts

Is there an .ini control that will turn off the bezel completely ( not just hide controls and leave black space) and just show the lcd screen so I can incorporate into an emuteq hardware?

Thank you

No, however we provide bezel-less versions. GNS430_nobezel and GNS530_nobezel are the names for the gauges.

Ed,

I am trying to enable this feature to work in my simulator.  I have no problem editing the panel.cfg to show the GNS530 with the bezel and editing the GNS.cfg to remove the bezel leaving black area where the bezel was located.  I can successfully resize and configure hardware buttons. However, when I change to GNS530_nobezel, I get nothing displayed.  Has this feature been eliminated or changed in some way that I have missed.

I am trying to get the LCD only to show in my dedicated hardware LCD and bezel.

Need some assistance

Dave

No... did you set up the gauge correctly with the 5th parameter values?

Ed,

If the 5th parameter works for GNS539, wouldn't the same value work for GNS530_nobezel?

Dave

Sorry, I meant GNS530.

It certainly should, yes.

Post your panel.cfg please.

Ed,

Here is the relevant portion of my panel.cfg file.  I only change the gauge line alternating between the two by commenting out the other.

Sorry... but you didn't show entries for the VC... is there no GNS in the VC?

Ed,

No VC.  I have a complete hardware cockpit with 180 degree visuals and a hardware GNS530, similar to Emuteg.  I undock the GPS window and drag to the GNS530 LCD.  This works with the bezel showing and not without.

Out of curiosity... have you downloaded the current version of our 430/530? If you're using an older version that doesn't have the no bezel gauges... you won't get any type of error, just nothing displays.

Ed,

All set now.  I uninstalled and reinstalled with the latest from your site.

Thanks for the assistance.

No problem... sorry it took so long for my brain to realize you might have an older gauge version.
