I have made some intence testing the last days. From beginnig of February to middel of mars month, i hadd over 20 flights in P3Dv2 and FSX with no problem, and no OOM. at this point i use only FSGRW to provide mee with real wethear information. In the middel of mars i change to ASN. After this point i got OOM on ewery flight i made. 3 weeks ago i deside to forgett FSX, and only use P3D. In this periode i have only use ASN with difrent settings in P3D and in ASN, and all flights end with OOM. Soo this weekend i deside to do some more testing. I do the same flight 4 times. 2 times with ASN and 2 times with FSGRW. I use the same settings on the clouds texture at all flights. When i use ASN i reduse Autogen to normal, and ground texture sett to 1024. OOM at booth flights. Soo 2 flights with FSGRW. My first flight with the same low setting i hadd in my last flight with ASN. This flight go smooth, and no OOM. And flight nr 2. Have turn up autogen 3 stepp and i use 2048 ground texture. And this flight end without OOM.

 

I use PMDG Boeing 777-300ER, and my flights go from LEPA to ENGM. I use Aerosoft scenery for the airports, and i have FTX Global basepack, Global Vector, Clobal open LC, FTX Norway. I use hybride mode. REX4 and havy AI traffic.

 

All flights wass done with metar from the same day and time to gett the same weather on all flights.

 

I have try all the things Rob Ainscough have talk about before i start my testings this weekend. I use low settings in ASN, butt still OOM. I am 99% sure at this point tha ASN have big memmory problem.

 

Soo if you have problem with OOM, take some flight witout using ASN and see what hapends.

Just FYI, ASN have released a new build for P3D 5589 with a new AS_Connect (which must always be uninstalled and re-install on the main client sim PC).

I run all my software from my P3D computer.And i use the latest version of ASN at my last testflight with ASN in this test.

This is after a fresh install no addons installed but the same settings sitting inc 1024 textures same plane/airport at 2.1GB of VAS. A savings of just 200mb. Seems to me 2.1gb of Vas for this is pretty high. So obiously having non compatible orbx airports installed has no effect on VAS.

Yeah, that sounds about what I'm getting as well. It may sound totally unrealistic, but I think hardware specs influences VAS usage.

Just finish a 5000nm flight from VHHH to ENGM with FSGRW as my weather program. No OOM. Soo now i have about 30 flights total with FSGRW and no OOM. And i have 10 flights total with ASN and all end with OOM. All this flight from the last 11 weeks. All this flight have a flighttime from 3 hrs to 13 hrs. All this fligt have been with PMDG Boeing 777, ORBX, REX.

Steinar - ASN has many options which can help with your issue. If you are getting OOM's every time, I suggest you open a ticket at support.hifitechinc.com.

 

There are many users using ASN in similar setups with no OOM's so I suggest it is in your settings somewhere.

 

As to FSGRW - a fine program but using it compared to ASN is like using a default 737 instead of the PMDG product. Both airplanes but different complexity.
