April 25, 201511 yr Try taking the shot of that b&w pic without the flash on your smartphone, Fr. Bill. it'll stop that white flash reflection in the middle. Just increase the exposure value for a non-flash shot. Pics like this are what memories are made of. Wish I'd kept mine. Rick Almeida
April 25, 201511 yr Moderator Try taking the shot of that b&w pic without the flash on your smartphone, Fr. Bill. it'll stop that white flash reflection in the middle. That's why I drew the line through "smart". Even though I turn the flash off, it still goes off randomly as I try to hold the phone steady and allow it to focus on the picture. I'll try again using my real camera on the tripod! Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
April 26, 201511 yr Make sure you select a macro setting when doing a close-up. My Samsung smartphone has the ability to switch-of the flash, which is abysmal anyway. Rick Almeida
