Reversers?

Recommended Posts

So I have looked at several videos and pictures that show the 850 with reverser trust for landing, and in game the textures show the slats on the engine, but I get no reverser action.  Bug, or am I missing something?

What kind of throttle setup do you use and how calibrated?

Myself, I use a Saitek throttle calibrated through FSUIPC and the reversers work perfectly.

Need more info.

Do you have to arm them for the reversers to work? I couldnt get them to work till I pressed the arm switches.

According to the checklist, the thrust reversers are set to ARM (before takeoff checklist) and turned off during shutdown.  That's how they work for me.  If I don't arm them they don't work.  Arm them and they do.

That's correct. the ARM switches must be activated in order for the T/Rs to deploy. Our company's SOP for the 850 is to arm before takeoff, in case an abort is required. Disarm once airborne, and re-arm again before landing as part of the final approach checklist.

Guys this is what I did and it works perfectly no need to do nothing else as far as I can tell - assign a detent on your throttle for reverse for instance I have saitek throttle quadrant it has forward for throttle and a pull back detent for reverse if I wish - assign under engines area decrease speed quickly (f2 on keyboard)  a short pull back on throttle assigns that to the reverse then drag over repeat to the right - throttle forward will disengage it - that should do it
