Could not find terrain.cfg file

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've recently installed PNW into my new P3D system. I downloaded the PNW from my flight store account, I purchased PNW back in 2010. When I try to run FTX Central I get the following error:

"Could not find D;\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg"?

I followed the install instructions.. any suggestions?

Jim

Ouch, I wanted to click "Selective Quote" but landed on the Troll/Spam (happens when the window is small, the two buttons get stacked).  :blush:  Jim, if you now run into trouble because of me, please point to this post. Apologies.

D;

I was about to ask if it really says D; or D: (mind the : ) in that error message. Either way, can you check if your D:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 folder features a terrain.cfg in the first place?

Also, which version are you running, sim and PNW? LM changed some path dependencies in 2.5 so that's where older installers could well run into trouble.

And feel free to user your order number to register over at Orbx, so that the officials can help you.

Download and install the latest ORBXLibs for P3D from the support section of the web site, then re-run FTX Central.

That did the trick.

Thank you

You're welcome. You should always install the latest ORBXLibs as the last step when adding any new Orbx product to your system.

Even if you have not added any new products recently, it's a good idea to check the web site from time-to-time for new versions of the libraries, as they often include new graphic objects, bug fixes and performance improvements that will benefit all of your installed Orbx packages.
