Manual braking

Recommended Posts

I'm not a pilot but maybe some of the pilots here can give me there experience on manual braking!

I'm not sure if its just the sim or my saitek rudder toe brakes but when i use manual braking after landing its hard to keep the acft straight without it going off in a direction when using my rudder toe brakes! Its possible if i lightly press both pedals at the same time. So is it like this in RW? Surely not lol

Maybe you need a small dead zone for brakes.  I do not have a dead (null) zone set for braking but I do have a small one set for rudder. Personal preference only.  I'd never use FSUIPC for controls.... PMDG recommends against it BUT many do and do not have problems. Again, personal preference.

Regardless, the effect that differential braking has in the simulator seems greater than I'm used to but I'm not B737 type rated and Joe is so I defer to him.
