Cabin Altitude Warning Light Issue

Recommended Posts

Currently on a long flight from EGKK to VTBS and the Cabin Altitude Waning Light has come on with the continual buzzing sound. In addition the Oxygen has also been activated.

Can anyone let me know how I can correct this situation.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Check the AIR page on EICAS to see if everything is functional. With this page selected the upper EICAS will display cabin pressurisation readings too.  Look on the overhead and make sure packs are in AUTO and engine bleeds. If that's OK, have a look in the CDU failure menu to see if you have a depressurisation problem (might have been caused by a tail strike).

Kevin has a few good ideas. Just a note for future reference - full names are required in the forum here.

Many thanks for your replies.

The problem has resolved itself now and yes it was caused bu a tail strike.

Again many thanks.
