747-8F Texture Issue

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with a livery I've just repainted for my friend, I've done everything I'm supposed to but for some reason when i bring up the livery in fsx to make sure the import has been successful I get all black windows, cockpit and wing edging along where the lights are and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong! I can't figure it out and its starting to get to me. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Nathan

Nathan,

I would make sure you have the texture.cfg file from a  previous -8F repaint (preferably the PMDG -8F) in your texture folder. These missing textures/parts are typically not found in the master template file that you use to repaint so references to some other common files look to be missing.

You can check this temporarily for example, by copying your master repaint texture file into the PMDG -8F texture folder (making sure of course that you save a copy of the original file first and put it somewhere safe so you can copy it back easily).

Regards

Mark
