They're being sold at a discounted price at the moment at the above links, so I was thinking of picking them up.

Anyone know if they will play nice with FTX UK sceneries?

Does the boxed version still require a connection to their crappy installer that no longer connects? Looks like I'm going to have to buy the boxed version of IofM too as I can no longer reinstall it via the installer. Gutted.

No from what I understand the boxed version is standalone. I agree that the installer wasn't great. However it's a magnificent scenery and worth the trouble.

One thing I had to do (many thanks to the poster on here who gave the advise) when installing from box is pull out your ethernet cable or disconnect from the WiFi before starting the install, otherwise it will fail as it will try to connect to the old servers to download some files rather than get them off the disc.

Really nice scenery, Is there any chance to get this to work in P3D 3.1 ?

I'm running a backup from when the ES servers were still active and I installed it through the ES-installer, but it works fine. Textures and BGLs are P3Dv3 compatible.

Cheers!

Some ES sceneries and Treescapes, together with GenerationX photoscenery volumes on offer dirt-cheap....well worth picking up at this price

Excellent, thanks for the infos. Will give it a try and have just ordered Isle of Man and Guernsey. A bargain indeed !

Got the DVDs from Flightstore. While Isle of Man EGJB looks good, except grass green summer textures around, so the texture switching doesn`t seem to work.

Guernsey doesn`t look good at all, especially around EGJB. Terrain plateaus, some buildings and cars sinking into the ground and the Airports partially flooded with water.

Looks like P3D uses different Mesh ?

I tried to deactivate some entries in the scenery.cfg, there are lots of them for Guernsey. No luck so far.

Did anyone get it to work ?

Do you have any other Guernsey scenery packages installed, Mike? Maybe one of those global European scenery packages? It works fine for me in P3D v3.1, but I don't use any scenery packages outside the UK and Ireland VFR photographic scenery DVDs.
