XPX.35- Meteor Crater, Arizona (off Highway 40)

Recommended Posts

Just tooling around, sightseeing, and thought to pay a visit to the crater.  Nicely done in XPX.35!

Now, heading towards the Mexican/California coast...for whale watching...but to my left, are the calcite lake deposits...drying out in the hot sun!

Hang on, whales...we're getting there!

"Hon...boy that sun is hot...can you turn on the A/C, please?"

" Sure can, Sweety Pie~ Hey, how 'bout dinner at Mexican Village, in San Diego tonight, before we head back to Phoenix?"...."

"Uhmmmm....that sounds GOOD!  You're making me hungry...sounds good! Done deal! We can then walk it off, with a stroll down the beach..."

"Done!"

Looks weird. I've never seen water at the bottom and there certainly is no town approaching the edge of it... Other than that, it looks decent... ;-)

A thunderstorm must have just passed through, LOL!  Who knows?, lol....

...a sneaky land developer saw an opportunity...and oh well....there was a buck to be made!  Maybe he created the lake, just for those property owners!  Stay awhile, do some fishing...swimming...enjoy the view at the bottom...you know...lol.

Nice shots of Meteor Crater, but wish X Plane had more realistic desert textures and OSM data for the west.
