Tool to create transparent window inside FSX for checklist?

Recommended Posts

Does some one knows if there is a tool to create transparent windows inside FSX?

This is my idea: I'd like to display my aicrafts checklist (fs2crew voice control) over a transparent window (like default fsx atc) so I haven't to watch my A4 sheet with printed phrases/checklist. Having trackir is very noisy to watch at my desk, so I prefer to display checklist directly inside FSX.

The only idea I got is to use PDF Kneeboard to display my A4 as pdf, but would be more confortable use a transparent window, any ideas?

Many thanks in advance

Riccardo

Thanks a lot Glynn, this is what I'm looking for. But I only need to diplay a list of item, without button interactipn for every item. Suppose PRE-START CHECKLIST (item1, item2, and so on), AFTERSTART CHECKLIST (the same...) and so on, I want to clyce trought a checklist and anoter with a click. I kniw it's possible to do it with LUA, but I don't know where to begin and how :-)

Thanks so much Glynn.

however I think would not be so difficult to write down a simple plugin doing what I need, if I only knows where to get started with LUA scripting....

You can also edit the FSX Kneeboard and put whatever you like in there.

Have a look at some of the Lua examples that come with the Fsuipc Lua package.

Everything you will need is in that package.

Glynn thanks so much it's very kind of you. I tried several example plugin but I can't find what I want.

Simply, I need:

1) keypress and display/hide a transparent window with a menu selection (with colored text): aircraft 1, aircraft 2, aircraft 3 and so on....

when choosen aircraft

2) display: CHECKLIST1, when I completed, press a key and

3) display: CHECKLIST2, when completed, press a key and

4) display: CHECKLIST3, and so on

simple, but I need an example to mody/edit, do you know one?

Thanks in advance for your patience.
