Unreal weather -using ipaq, xm weather ,Active sky,real...

I have Anywhere map and xm weather for my ipaq for my real flying.Flight 1 has an interface that allows you to put your ipaq in the cradle and fool the ipaq that it is getting it's gps info from the sim.I had to fudge these shots a little because you have to turn activesync off to use the program-and I had to turn it on to get the shots-but this is basically what you get as you fly.It is molto cool to fly in the sim-with the ipaq giving navigation and real live weather! Add reality xp's instruments and Active sky-it is amazing! This is Detroit about 2:45 pm 7/8.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/121787.jpg...and on the ipaq...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/121788.jpghttp://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

Very Nice.Is the anywhere map only for the US? Or does it have worldwide coverage like YBCG for instance?Scott

You might want to try PocketFMS for worldwide coverage. It is very up to date - and is donationware. I had a problem with my 3835 using an SD card. The maps wouldn't show with versions .95 and .96. So I have been using version .952 very successfully. They just released a new version which may fix the problem, but my iPAQ battery died. I am waiting for the new battery to charge as we speak. I'll update you when I get it working. Let me know if you have any problems. The startup procedures must be followed explicityl, or you may have a difficult time connecting.ThomasN15802
