It's TAM Hot on the Land of Fire

Featured Replies

TAM252(SBGR-SAWH) lines up on runway 09L at Guarulhos for about a 5 hour flight to the southernmost international airport in the world on the island of Tierra del Fuego.  Despite it being called the land of fire, the landing temperature was 37 degrees

Love the action shots over Brazil!

Chris, what Garulhos scenery was that? Latin VFR's which I have but does not appear to look anything like yours or TropicalSim's?

It's Tropical Sim's SBGR Rick.  You can get it for dirt cheap right now with their 40% off sale.  I also recommend Buenos Aires (SAEZ) and Lajes Field (LPLA)

Thanks for that Chris, as I want to pick up a shed-load from them. Cannot afford to kick a gift horse in the mouth !

I heard that....some of those titles are 7-8 dollars now!

Excellent shots! The southern cone is underrated... Really beautiful region.

Thanks Diego!  I downloaded the freeware Ushuaia(SAWH) from here yesterday:

You're right about the southern cone.  I had no add on airports south of Santiago or Buenos Aires until now.

Always appreciated brother William!  I downloaded the freeware mesh for South/Central America from one of the posts here on AVSIM and my mountains especially look 10 times better.  Next time I post screenies flying in or out of SAWH, the surroundings should look much improved

Just bought SBGR, SBGL, SAEZ. I may need to pick your brain on one of them tomorrow.

Ok Rick...I have several off days starting tomorrow and vacation plugged in too, so I may be a little scarce around here for a spell

For those who like to fly into or out of Sao Paulo regularly, I'd highly recommend Paulo Richardos Mega Sao Paulo scenery.

I've been using it for years and it's awesome. Barely effect FPS and VAS at all. He used similar techniques that FlyTampa used for Dubai to populate the scenery and still keep FPS high and VAS low.

He also has a Mega Rio which is equally as stunning.

Oh, Sean, wish I had seen that link before. Stunning. Just shelled out for TropicalSim's versions.

Rick Almeida

Absolutely stunning shots!
