May 25, 201511 yr i have had my ch rudder pedals now for a while now. What has always puzzled me was that they always feel like I am using the breaks. Basicly what is happening is when I get Into an aircraft and release the breaks with the rudder pedals. I raise the the oral and the aircraft moves right away. I then break and stop. Then when I wanna move again it takes a lot of thrust to get me going again? I recently installed orbx Bob and you control him the same as an aircraft. I had the same problem. It took almost full throttle to get him moving again after stopping once?? I use ezdok if that has anything to do with it. Thanks. Greg Smith

Assuming you have the toe brakes mapped to your pedals you need to click the 'reverse' checkbox in the setup dialog. May 25, 201511 yr Author What does the reverse do? Is that option in the fsx menu? My pedals have always functioned like rudder pedals and differential breaks. Just a lot of friction on the ground roll Greg Smith

Just a lot of friction on the ground roll Yes it is on the menu where you map the differential brake axes. By default the Saitek toe brake axes are calibrated backwards. It is a very common problem. May 26, 201511 yr I have had this issue with my Saitek pedals also. I kept fiddling with the sensitivity and null zone until it finally cleared up. It helps to have the "Brake" message on in the lower left corner of the display so you can see whether the brakes are engaged or not. Also it seems some aircraft are more sensitive to this than others.
May 26, 201511 yr Author Yeah the breaks are defently not on when the break display message goes away. I really don't know. There is just too much friction after I stop the first time. And give it throttle the 2nd time. I don't know Greg Smith

And give it throttle the 2nd time. I don't know Then maybe this isn't about the pedals but about the fricton. Apparently that's screwy as well and there are several ways to address it. I think FSUIPC has a fix that can insert in the ini file. The Aerosoft Twin Otter needs an awful lot of power to get rolling, especially on grass.
