Results of the Poll: What GA version 2 would you pay for?

Recommended Posts

The voting seems to be over and the results are in.  Thanks to everyone who voted!:

A total of 47 people voted.  The Aerosoft Beaver came in first (18 votes) followed by the Flight1 Mustang (13).  The Carenado C337, RealAir Legacy and Flight1 PC12 tied for third at 8 votes.  I'll admit I'm surprised a tail dragger took first but, then again, it has float capabilities so there's that too.  I expected the Mustang would probably be near the top.  Surprised the Flight1 PC12 was as strong as the Legacy but I've heard it was well done and the Carenado PC12 seemed to have good demand though it was met with a lot of frustration (I hangared mine shortly after I got it.)  The RealAir Legacy is interesting because I'm pretty sure demand for it will be through the roof when it comes out.  If correct, 8 votes must translate to very high demand.

In terms of the others, the Eaglesoft Beechjet, an airplane I never seen talked about, got 5 votes...not shabby at all and it's great to hear a version 2 is coming.  The BN2, a plane that's always talked about and recommended, also got 5.  Apart from the C337, the desire for the rest of the Carenado field was pretty low.  As much as those planes are talked about, sliced and dices, coached, prodded, etc that's a real surprise to me as many of their airplanes are in dire need of a version 2.  Also, demand for a decent twin is still out there, as attested by the C404...a fairly old plane, difficult to find documentation on...and yet the BE58 (an immensely popular GA plane with variants in production since 1960ish and tons of documents available) scored only 2.  Also, with all the demand for the Carenado Phenom, the Feelthere Phenom garnered only 2 votes despite having significantly better systems and poorer graphics.

Not sure what you can really read into the results since so few people voted.  Perhaps, more people will chime in.

Surprised A2A aircraft did not feature in the poll.

Hmmm, well, that would be my doing.  Their GA offerings are still pretty new and, since it's a GA poll, there weren't any military types.  Not to say their aircraft aren't worthy of a version 2 at all!  I just focused on older airplanes that keep showing up in discussion or screenshots.

What's needs improving in the RealAir Legacy?

For example, perhaps, fitting in the Flight1 GTNs, flap shudder, P3D version...things like that.
