A Window's Question

Recommended Posts

Guest BobL

I have a dual boot with Win ME on c:). Yea, I know, ME stinks but I have a couple of ancient apps that I need it for.I'm in the middle of restoring from a full format and disabled the silly System Restore but it keeps putting that confounded 500 MB _restore folder on each of my drives. It seems I saw a fix to this a really long time ago here but a search doesn't produce anything.Would someone mind posting how I can eliminate those things once and for all...BobL

Bob,Those applications must really be worth it !!!The only way I know of is to issue the "deltree" command from a boot floppy. At the prompt, type deltree c:_restoreWindows will recreate it on restart but while System Restore is disabled, it should be empty. Good luck,Cheers.
