Majestic Dash-8: save a flight and its panel state?

Featured Replies

Hi to all, I'd like to purchase this aircraft but I'm not sure if it's possible to save a flight and its panel state?

In the official Majestic site I found:

SAVING AND LOADING SYSTEMS' STATE

When saving or loading the flight in the Flight Simulator, the systems will also store or retrieve their respective states

I suppose I can.

Thanks a lot in advance for your confirmation.

Riccardo

Yep, I use fsuipc to auto save every 10 minutes and have successfully recovered with system settings intact from an auto save.

Riccardo,

One is capable of saving panel states in the PILOT Edition of the Q400.  This is simply done by configuring the flight deck in the state of your choice, and then saving the situation.  Once you re-load the situation the aircraft state will load to saved panel state.  However it will load at the airport in which the situation was saved.

The PRO Edition will however allow you to select a desired panel save state, which will load at any given airport once the aircraft is loaded.

Thanks guys, I only want to know if I can continue my flight (after saving it) during cruise phase. Normally I takeoff, climb to cruise FL, fly for an unspecified time, then save and in another session I reload the flight and conclude my flight. Normally with NGX and MD11 I use FSX:SE function, with Maddog it's a bit more tricky but it's not a problem.

SO I suppose with Dash-8 is the same as NGX and MD11.

Simeon Dash-8 is fully compatible with Steam with its original installer or I have to download a patch?

Your flight can be continued after saving a situation enroute during the cruise phase of your flight.

The Q400 is fully compatible with Steam
