Why the change in format

Recommended Posts

After being off the Internet for awhile , I noticed the right column is missing. Anyone have an answer ?

Even worse, the "Forums" menu option has disappeared from the front page. I had to click on one of the "forum hot topics" to gain access.

I think I prefer it this way, since forum threads are very quick to load unlike before when it would take 10 seconds to load every time you clicked on something.

Now you can't see what topics are trending so you don't know what people are discussing.  Just noticed the change yesturday.  I always liked following the threads I've commented in, now that's gone.

So, has that "Forums" front page menu option gone forever? Surely there should be a link to the forums from the homepage?

Faster, yes, but I REALLY miss the Forums link, as well as the downloads link as well.

Bring back the old. (I really dont mind waiting a second or 2 for the forums to load).

I'm confused. What's the difference between clicking on a Forums menu link, and clicking on one of the "hot forum topics" links?

Actually, a huge difference. If I want to browse the forum previously, I just had to scroll down & see what I fancy looking at, now, I have to click a link, go to the top of that forum, click on 'The AVSIM Community' then scroll & browse. I prefer, personally, a menu of choices from the main page.

...for those who are looking for a link to the community forums...simply click on the Avsim logo at top of any page. On most websites clicking on a logo will bring you to that site's homepage, but here at Avsim it brings you to the forum index.

Need to scroll down the page quickly, here are some choices for doing so?

1. use the down arrow on your keyboard.

2. click and drag the scroller button on the right hand scroll bar.

3. middle click your mouse wheel and move your mouse down the page to scroll fast.

PS - not trying to be sarcastic here...I know some people are not aware of this so just trying to help.
