FSX Steam edition compatibility?

Hello!

 

Just wanted to ask before a friend purchases the steam edition and the PMDG 737, will desk pilot work in this FSX? Is there any reason why it wouldn't?

 

I have tried using Hamachi to connect to other friends before using the steam edition, but nothing seems to work (although it did work in the disk edition). Regardless, even if it did work, would it be possible to share cockpit anyway?

Just as an update to anyone wondering about this too:

 

Yes, it does work! However, hosting via Hamachi on the FSX Steam edition doesn't seem to work. You need to port forward first.
