Push to Talk button while flying B200

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if anyone has come across this issue, but I have FS2Crew for my PMDG's and Airbus X. All works great, and I'm very happy with the set up. Specially with my push to talk configuration on my yoke and joystick. However, when I'm flying the Flight1 King Air 200 Blackhawk XP, if I still want to speak to VoxATC, or VATSIM when I press my push to talk button on my stick or yoke, my prop syncon caution lights begin to flash. The plane doesn't react any different, it's just a pain in the rear to constantly see the caution light.

I don't want to change anything on my push to talk button setup when it comes to FS2Crew, so does anyone know of a way to remap the King Air prop syncon so it wont disturb my ATC communication? I try posting at Flight1's KA forum, but I'm not getting an answer. Great plane, love it!, but not so much the support.

Okay, it seems that my push to talk problem is not just with the Flight1 B200, but any aircraft that uses the prop sync function. Every time I press the push to talk, it interfere the prop sync function. So my new question is, if I map the push to talk button in order to speak to VATSIM or VoxATC, will FS2Crew continue to work and soft mute the program?

Johnny, do you use a registered version of FSUIPC?

If so, look into 'profiles' and set a profile for your 737, 777 and Airbus to use the prop sync for muting fs2crew.

That way, the prop sync won't apply to the other aircraft

Brilliant idea, never thought about that one :-)

Yes, I do have a registered version of FSUIPC, but I'm all thumbs when it comes to it. I can't seem to figure that thing out!

Never mind, figured the darn thing out, and now I'm able to control the prop sync function for my PMDG and FS2Crew to work fine. The soft mute works now, and it's not disturbing any of my functions on non FS2Crew aircraft such as the Duke and B200. Thanks for the help guys.

I was going to post how to do it, but secretly hoped you'd figure it out! Nicely done!
