Black tire smoke when landing?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I cannot find this topic anywhere.

A few days ago I noticed that when I land black tire smoke resulting from tire/tar friction, instead of the normal white smoke. It shows squares just before it changes to black smoke. Also the vapor trails coming from the wing tips are dark as well. It happens on all aircraft, including jets addons big or small, propeller planes , helicopters. I thought it was because I installed this 'dust' that picks up when helicopters land. I removed it and the problem still persists. I'm a bit on the lost side here as I don't know how to solve this problem. Any good simmers out there with good knowledge, for assistance?  I'm using FSX.  I never really had a problem like this before. The fps are ok.

            Thank you in advance.

Sounds like corrupted effects files.  Download and run this program to fix it.  gauges_recovery_fsx.zip
