A PMDG DC-3: The first hint ?

Recommended Posts

RSR is probably going to groan and go back to bed when he sees this.

I've just received the July/August issue of PC Pilot, which features a very interesting interview with Mr. Randazzo. There is much discussion about PMDG's present and future, including the eagerly anticipated 747-400, 747-8 and of course the Douglas DC-6. Concerning the latter, when asked whether we will see more classic aircraft of yesteryear from the PMDG stable, his response is ( and I quote ):

I think there will be more. In fact, the team making the DC-6 has told me that there will be more. They have their eyes set on a particular DC-3...

So there we have it. Somebody fetch the thumb screws, and let the release date chant begin.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

We are probably grasping at straws but I think PMDG is as likely as anybody.  My Grandpa flew C-47s in the war, so any DC-3/C-47 would be insta-buy, especially from PMDG or A2A.   In the meantime we have the fantastic Manfred Jahn C-47 project, with a vintage VC in the works to boot, so like is pretty good for the virtual Gooneybird

Cheers

TJ.

There is something going on. Go and watch the latest Frooglesim video from Flightsimcon where he says RSR arrived in the PMDG DC-3.  So does PMDG own a working DC3?  I think this is the certain DC3 they are talking about and will probably be modelling at some future date.

You are in Hanger Chat and not the PMDG forum so go ahead and ask....and don't even sign your name if you like!

Very cool.  Anyone who thinks the PMDG 777 is pricey just needs to think about the monthly costs of running and maintaining that bird.
