June 19, 201510 yr With the release of A2A's Commanche I have realised that I might be waiting on a GA twin from A2A for a long time! So I've checked the reviews and just installed Realair's piston Duke. It is nice! I have a homebuilt twin cockpit setup, so deselected all the fancy VC extras like grime and reflections; I have a Buttkicker installed and the wonderful sounds of the Duke go perfectly with that. Very, very nice. My test flight from Kingman to Las Vegas threw up a couple of interesting things, though. First I realised my speakers were in the wrong positions, and need to be switched! Secondly, I thought my radio was screwed, but it seems I can only use COM2, got to check that out; and finally when I lowered my landing gear the left gear failed to come down and failed to light on my Saitek panel. I made a gear up landing, and when flipping to external view the Duke reset itself with all gear down. I checked the manual and Realair do say they do not model gear failure. I've never ever had a gear failure before ... Weird. Anyone else? Anywhay, these aren't problems, just points of interest. I am loving the Duke! - Paul Elliott http://www.avsim.com/topic/450607-amy-johnson-london-to-australia-attempt/
