I REALLY hope they treat The Peanuts with the respect it deserves. The comic strip and original cartoons were big parts of my childhood, and it's still a family tradition during holidays to watch that holiday's associated Peanuts special. The comics were more than cute little things you glance at in the morning paper, winning multiple awards and receiving widespread acclaim because of it. I certainly hope that the movie holds true to the spirit of the original comic strips instead of being a way for parents to keep their kids occupied for an hour and for the studio to make an ungodly amount of money by selling toys. Trailers can be deceiving, so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised this December.

Well for me, its a good sign the the previews make me smile......  :smile:

 

I do notice they seem to have abandoned jazz as the primary musical source. That will probably resonate better with children, but will lose a little bit of nostalgia for older fans.
