June 22, 201510 yr Subject: Unable to connect my network - NO FIREWALL ACTIVE I'm out of ideas, I cannot connect ASN to P3D 2.5 via network with B5589 and/or B5617. I installed ASConnect_P3D_install.exe on the server computer and I installed simconnect.msi (the one located in the P3D2.5 sub folder redist/interface/fsx-sp2--xpack/retail/lib) on the client computer. All I see is: Waiting For Simulation I've had this working for YEARS, all of a sudden this new install won't connect... Working on this for DAYS NOW.My Setup is as followsClient Computer - In My Documents----------------------------------------[simConnect]Protocol=IPv4Address=FLIGHTSIM-PCPort=19284 // NOTE: Originally had 500 didn't work, then noticed your program using 19284 so tried that, didn't work.MaxReceiveSize=4096DisableNagle=0Server Computer - In APPData, Roaming, Lockheed Martin, Prepar3D v2-------------------------------------------------------------------------------<SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1,0"><Descr>SimConnect</Descr><Filename>SimConnect.xml</Filename><Disabled>False</Disabled><SimConnect.Comm><Disabled>False</Disabled><Protocol>IPv4</Protocol><Scope>local</Scope><Address>FLIGHTSIM-PC</Address><MaxClients>64</MaxClients><Port>19284</Port> // NOTE: Originally had 500 didn't work, then noticed your program using 19284 so tried that, didn't work.<MaxRecvSize>4096</MaxRecvSize><DisableNagle>False</DisableNagle></SimConnect.Comm><SimConnect.Comm><Disabled>False</Disabled><Protocol>Auto</Protocol><Scope>Global</Scope></SimConnect.Comm>Server Computer - In Users, My Documents, Prepar3D v2---------------------------------------------------------------[simConnect]level=verboseconsole=0;RedirectStdOutToConsole=1;OutputDebugString=1;file=c:\simconnect%03u.log;file_next_index=0;file_max_index=9 ASN LOG ------------ 10:43:54 PM:0073-P3D Connect Post Attempt: Instantiated = True / mConnected = False10:43:54 PM:0073-P3D Connection Attempted10:43:54 PM:0073-Post Connect P3D_Connected = False10:44:02 PM:0841-Pre Connect P3D_Connected = False10:44:02 PM:0841-P3D Connect Pre Attempt: Instantiated = True / mConnected = False10:44:02 PM:0841-Sim general message:Sim Msg: fsx_simconnect is NOTHING ...10:44:03 PM:0969-Sim general message:Sim Msg: Failed to connect - Please ensure FS is running: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. July 8, 201510 yr I wish it was as simple for me. I had ASN working for such a long time and then the IP of my FS PC changed. I changed the necessary files to reflect that, but ASN now refuses to connect over the network. I tried everything - re-intalling on a different PC, checking all the config files etc. It just doesn't work. Pretty much ready to drop it and find something else.
