PrecipitFX does not work with new version of p3d.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Seem's like the effect does not like the service pack from prepar3d. Is there a update coming?

Thank you

Hi,

From our tests, PrecipitFX works great with the latest update.

Are you having issues with your setup right now?

Thank you

Yes i am. I am using active sky next if that helps.

I need more information...

What isn't working exactly?

What have you tried to fix it?

Have you tried uninstalling+reinstalling?

Uninstalled and reinstalled and no luck. I don't see any effects active. I have effects in P3D menu selected at max. I am using version 2.5.12946.0 of P3D.

PrecipitFX is working fine with P3D 2.5.12946.0, no issues.

Some suggestions:

1.  In PrecipitFX, make sure you click on the Install/Modify button and all effects are checked, it scans for each aircraft and updates

2.  Delete your shaders folder before starting P3D (i.e. C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Shaders

You need to do step 1 each time you add a new aircraft to P3D.

Cheers, Rob.

Is deleting the shaders folder a must? I installed Preciptfx last night. If I need to I will.
