No AI Traffic @ KSFO and KSJC

Featured Replies

I've got a strange problem I was hoping someone else has seen.  I'm using WoIA and other freeware traffic and schedules along with Flightbeam KSFO and Imaginesim KSJC.  All of a sudden I have absolutely no AI traffic at either KSFO or KSJC.  I've verified the AFCADS and even reinstalled the airports but still no AI traffic.  The only thing I can think of is that I uninstalled ORBX Northern Cal, but that shouldn't affect the AFCADS right?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike T.

Do you have traffic elsewhere though? Even default afcads will get you a fair number of AI at those airports. It sounds like a rogue FS9 traffic file in there from somewhere to cause that.

Many ORBX sceneries do include AFD files so that may not be an impossible explanation for the problem, especially as both addons you mention were presumably within that region

There would still be ai though with conflicting afd files.

i had the same kind of problems some time ago with after installing a freeware addon airport, and i think it was caused by a bad 'traffic' file.

You should check the scenery files included with your 2 addons (more probably KSJC because that one is a bit old whilst FB KSFO is a more high quality addon that shouldn't create such problems).

If you find a file named 'traffic_<something>.bgl' in there, just remove it (backup first) and then relaunch FSX to see if the issue is resolved.

nothing sure, but worth a try

The Imaginesim KSJC unfortunately turns off all traffic at KSFO. Removing KSJC will solve the issue.
