July 7, 201510 yr Now two great airports to run between...Palm Springs, and San Diego! Good stuff.... It simply amazes me, at what quality of graphics XPX.x can pump out... Palm Springs, San Diego, Los Angeles San Francisco Phoenix Sky Harbor Juneau, Alaska ...and all of the above were gifts to the community...rendered out at commercial quality! The devs, are diamonds...the each of them!
July 7, 201510 yr If you like flying between KSAN and KPSP, grab Bermuda Dunes (KUDD) and Cochran/Thermal (KTRM) and you'll have two additional mostly custom airports (thermal has some lower-rez hangars I'll swap out later). Thermal is undergoing some construction and when that's completed and there are photos, I'll update it.

July 7, 201510 yr Author The TRM airport gave me a CTD with some errors.... do you have a direct link to your version? Maybe I was using another version. edit: I found your airports...will test again edit again: I downloaded both your TRM and UDD - no errors or CTD sweet! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 8, 201510 yr Good...glad you got them to work. Those airports are less exciting than palm springs, admittedly, but I tried to keep them true to life. The palm springs scenery I had been using had high-rises (hotels?) and when I looked on google earth, I realized that's not what palm springs looks like, at least not around the airport. If you guys see anything out of place or have suggestions, drop me a note. I've made a few corrections to PSP so when I get more I'll upload a refresh. So far they're mostly things few would probably find. -- Greg
August 14, 201510 yr Just a heads-up...I uploaded a new overhauled KPSP, cleaned the whole thing up quite a bit. It requires the new MisterX library, so make sure you download/install that. And KUDD was updated a few weeks ago...more clean up. And excuse the self-promotion, but there is also a new San Luis Obispo up for those that have an interest (it's actually in a pretty cool location...just ignore the sloped runway...I'm told it's not quite so obvious in real life)...grab the version without the new terminal...well I prefer that one. You get to choose once you click the download button. August 14, 201510 yr Author Awesome. August 14, 201510 yr Yes it's labeled 2.0 with a list of the changes. I found performance to be better overall even with adding some new items. I was able to reduce the texture sizes while at the same time increasing the resolution (basically, more efficient use of space in the texture files themselves). So while most of the buildings will look the same at a distance, as you get closer, details like doors/windows will be much clearer and realistic. And everything but the terminal buildings were rebaked to have better ground level shadowing. Let me know what you think. The night lighting was also overhauled...using more realistic light objects for all the buildings (except terminals which were already good in that regard). I'm thinking about a terminal revamp for later...but not sure anyone cares lol. I hope it works as I'll be out for a week...test ASAP! Edit: There's a link in the post above.
August 15, 201510 yr Thanks for the update. KPSP is gorgeous! January 6, 201610 yr Just an FYI....KPSP v. 2.5 is up...finally got time to rebuild/re-texture the terminals and found a new/recent photo online of what the commuter terminal actually looks like. Google Earth/Streetview can only get so close. Also new runways. Rebuilt a few other buildings too...all showing much higher definition in the texturing and details (I personally hate when things get blurry up close). More can be done (always) but it's one more step. Also, for those flying San Luis Obispo, I posted a big update to that a couple weeks back if you missed it. The link a few posts up still takes you there. Enjoy! -- Greg

January 6, 201610 yr All I want is a decent 787. I have never seen so many of an airliner's systems being electrified and 'glass'ified - even the FMC is on a screen! QualityWings appears to be making a very good job of simulating the 787 for FSX - hopefully we have an equally competent developer for X-Plane.
