touch down sounds

Hi

 

I'm looking for a set of touch down sounds that give a good old screach when hitting the runway.

I fly mostly the DM Super VC10 but don't hear any touch-down sounds on landing.

Any help would be appreciated.

First thing to check is have a look at the VC10 sound file (text file) and see if it has anything like;

 

[left_TOUCHDOWN]
filename=touch_1
maximum_volume=10000

[center_TOUCHDOWN]
filename=touch_c
maximum_volume=10000

[right_TOUCHDOWN]
filename=touch_main
maximum_volume=10000

 

listed and the sound files associated with it. If none of that exists you can find a aircraft / sound system that performs the way you wish. Copy the text section which will be somewhat like the above example into the VC10 sound file text and copy and paste the appropriate touchdown sound files to the sound folder. If you have nothing on your PC you might look through these and see what you can find.
