This Is Odd

Recommended Posts

I'm running in P3D.

Today I loaded a flight I had started yesterday.  Still doing the preflight.  When I checked rudder, elevator and ailerons I got only minor deflections.  So went into the P3D settings and checked deadzone which were all at 1 which is my normal setting.  Checked calibration all good. Still no luck so I loaded up another saved file from a flight last week check control response and I get full deflection for all controls!!

Has anyone seen this before??  Seems to me that something with the PMDG is not getting saved correctly.

Still doing the preflight.

This, to me, indicates that you didn't have your hydraulics on, which would limit your ability to change control surface positions.

Full names in the forum, too, please.

You are of course correct.  I feel like an idiot.  Thanks for your patience and I'll use full names from now on.

haha - stuff happens. A couple weeks ago I was taking a bug smasher out to do some instrument work with a CFI buddy of mine. Got all the way through the preflight, got the plane situated, started up, and as soon as I was going to release the brakes, realized I had left the chocks in.

...and I've been doing this for going on 12 years now.

I had left the chocks in.

Did that once in the twin... embarrassing.

My problem with bug smashers was remembering to take the keys out of my pocket before I strapped-in.  I made that same mistake for years.  One of the things I love about the twin, no keys!

... in the NGX. In the real 737 mechanical reversion would allow you to move them fully.
