July 16, 201510 yr These shots are from taxi-from the gate, to 7L, and then lift-off, and climb to cruise towards KSFO. It was a remarkable virtual experience, as I heard ATC give clearence to my virtual captain and co-pilot. It really felt like I was in both my favorite seats (in R.L.). Ortho-L.A. is a killer task to render, due to the complexity of it (the airport, as well as the scenery surrounding it), and yet, even with OBJECTS set to EXTREME, or whatever the highest maxium setting is called...can't remember...I still could pull FPS rates that produced smooth animation in XPX.40b5.
