Hi Jorge

Can I suggest you try using LINDA 2.6.3 v2 download?  This is reported by some users to avoid various range check and other errors.

Thankyou Scotflieger , that version works OK in both P3D and FSX..

Same problem here, even with version 2.6.3.v2. Always the same with the usual "Linda has stopped working....."

Happens whether I close before FSX or after FSX is closed.

Anyone got a fix for this?

Regards to all

Hi Neil

I have no solution for you as you are not giving me enough information. What are you doing with you get the error? When is it happening? Is it stopping you flying? What aircraft and equipment are you using? What additional windows do you have open? I ask because for the few flights I am able to do I am seeing no problems. And sorry there will be no in depth investigation or fixes until later this year. I simply do not have the time.

I used to frequently get a similar error (possibly the same one, it has been a while) closing LINDA 2.5.7  I found that the file  linda-cfg\system\linda-gui.ini would somehow get corrupted, and by replacing it with a saved good copy the error would go away.

Scott: " What are you doing with you get the error? When is it happening? Is it stopping you flying? What aircraft and equipment are you using?"

Error occurs whenever I close Linda and doesn't matter whether FSX is still running or has been closed. No effect on flying..it still works but I must click on the "plane select"  button several times for Linda to work.

Aircraft choice is not a factor...no plane operating when I Close Linda. Running FSX Acceleration, ASN (sometimes), FS Realtime (sometimes), that's about all.

Latest paid FSUIPC on Win7-64 bits.

This is not a "problem" as long as Linda still runs properly, just an annoyance getting the two messages every time it closes.

Can I suggest you follow Koffee's suggestion and delete your linda-GUI.ini file. It will rebuild the next time you run but you may need to check your setup values.

Tried replacing that .ini file wth an old one that I had saved. Linda refused to load.  then replaced it with a new one straight from a new Linda. The result was the same error boxes on closing Plus the Out Of Range pop-up everytme I changed planes. Still problems identifying the active airplane.

Finally, yesterday......removed 2.6.3 v2 and installed 2.5.7. Flying was good and Linda had no messages of any kind running or closing.

Happy me....until this morning....back to the same two access violation pop-ups.

Obviously this is not a Linda problem but something in my system causing it.

I will stay with 2.5.7 for now because it does immediately recognize the active airplane.

I am afraid that when I was asked to reinstate the shortcuts to recording the positions of undocked windows these errors were created.  I suspect that is was the code was disabled in the first place.

There is nothing I can do at present due to 'real world' time constraints. I suggest reverting to 2.5.7 until I can address the issue (this winter at the earliest).
