reinstall ngx

Recommended Posts

i have just downloaded NGX reboot and installed after un installing  previous legacy version from control panel.

however after pressing the enable button on the new configuration it says it detects the old version on my ngx

panel cfg.and because of this i have to now reinstall the pmdg ngx which is really annoying as you might imagine.

i did not see any info regarding procedure before installing the latest version surely this should not happen..

any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi Graeme,

While it is a bit of an inconvenience, it's not as bad as it sounds. There's basically two ways of getting a clean panel config again.

1. Reinstall the NGX you do not need to uninstall the NGX first, just reinstall over the top (If you do this, open the PMDG Operations center afterwards and make sure you press the button to 'relink' your liveries. Then install NGX Reboot. Or...

2. Open the correct panel config and remove the FS2Crew entires then install NGX Reboot.

If you have any problems, post a reply and I'll talk you through it.

I  didn't  have  to do that when I just did  the repair option,  all the fs2crew entries  were gone  when I checked  the panel cfg  after  the repair option.
