Flapless landing after 3 go-arounds in the worst weather sat 25 july

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

For those who are interested:

Saturday 25 July 2015:  The worst storm in Holland since many years, a 737-800 from Transavia had already made 3 go-arounds, so fuel is low and they must land!.

many flights were already cancelled that day, trees were torn from their roots like matches (killing 1 person).

My compliments to this crew!!

I never saw a 737-800 landing flapless before!

regards,

Wijnand Lindelauf

You would not want to load so little fuel that you run out of so quickly in a weather that's so ugly.

And why would you choose an alternate so close to your destination, with only that little amount of fuel loaded???

Running out of fuel means running out of options, so you end up with a landing that's no option at all. Glad to hear that disaster did not happen ... this time.

It has all to do wih MONEY. I guess the lives of peaple don't count much anymore.

Herad that after this adventure there was no one from Transavia to meet the passengers and the passengers had to wait for 3 hours before they got their lugages.

Shame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not delaying/cancelling/diverting the flight, 3 go-arounds, and getting themselves into a situation where they may have run out of fuel. Hardly deserving of compliments. More deserving of 2 pink slips.

Their alternate was Eindhoven. For some reason, Eindhoven would not accept them.

It sounds like there's a lot to this story, Mr. Pink Slips.

This flight was already diverted to Amsterdam (EHAM) the orginale destination was Rotterdam (EHRD)  one go-around was made in Rotterdam, due to EHAM has runway's in several  direction's the flight crew desided to divert to Amsterdam, In Amsterdam the Aircraft made 2 go around due to windshear warnings, the second alternate was Brussel (EBBR) due to low fuel this airport was not reachable any more so the fourth landing could only be made in Amsterdam but the wind was gusting at 45 to 55 knots that day. The landing was a emergency landing and had landed safely as you can see in the video.

In other video on that same day a Boeing 777-300 had trouble with the landing.
