Aproach Checklist not working correctly (Reboot NGX)

Hello! I am having problems with my approach checklist with the new NGX Reboot, I keep getting a Play Brief (incomplete Data) message with Final approach fix alt., Minimums (DA) Baro, and Missed Approach Alt. I dont have a clue on how to correct this problem, PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advanced!

Have you filled up the lines in red in the approach briefing page?

 

You must enter manually the correct data the same way you would enter data in the FMC using the numeric keypad.

 

cf. the main manual page 30-31

 

Hint: Reading the manual often brings the answers!  :rolleyes:

I appreciate your help! I see that you have to put the number text in the red letter places, but, can you give me some standard numbers to enter in the sections?

You get the numbers from the approach charts. As sugested you really should read the manuals. Fs2crews as well as the NGX's.

And try searhing for help on youtube regarding how to read airpprt charts. There's quite a few good tutorials out there.

I thank you for your information, but I have read the FS2Crew manual and I just needed a little help with the Reboot version considering changing from the first NGX FS2Crew to Reboot version, as they are very different

As for charts, I just use the FSX ATC for all of my flights

As said above, there are no standard numbers as they depend on the airports and the approaches selected.

You have to refer to the charts of the airports you fly to.

 

As an example:

 

LFPG Ils 26R

 

IF altitude: 4000ft

Missed approach altitude: FL070

MDA (Ils cat I): 520ft

 

KDEN Ils 16R:

 

IF altitude: 7000ft

Missed approach altitude: 12000ft

MDA (ils cat I): 5526ft

 

These two examples show how different these values may be!

 

You must check on the charts to get the correct values for each airport.

 

 

 

As for charts, I just use the FSX ATC for all of my flights

If you don't have paper charts, use this trick:

 

Look on the LEGS page in the FMC.

 

The MAP altitude is often already shown there for your selected approach.

 

DA: Just add 200 feet to the runway elevation (assuming ILS).

 

FAF:  It's often the fix right before the runway.  You can see its altitude there.

The runway elevation is shown on the Legs page.

 

Just add 200 feet to it for the DA.

 

FAF is often the fix right before the runway, but not always.  You can see the altitude there as well on the Legs page.

DA will usually be 200 fee above the runway.

 

MAP altitude can be anywhere, but usually 3000 to 4000 feet above the runways.

 

FAF altitude is usually 2000 feet above the runway, but it can vary.

 

These numbers are are visible on the IAP (approach chart).

Here you got an example from the values you must put in the red fields. This is ONLY for SBNT. The values you need are in the charts for the airport
