RTM Win10 FSX DX9 Experience Thread

Recommended Posts

With AA in sim turned On I get a frozen flight. Going to try different NV drivers.

Edit: That didn't last long. Only the .62 drivers will install with Win 10.

the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 isnt working well. A few seconds after Take-Off is a CtD. And in 3d Cockpit, i can't see everything on the displays.

PMDG works fine

dash 8 works perfect for me. Make sure to install all the updates. I'm using fsx steam and dx10 with the fixer

Do you have anti alias turned on in the sim?

Yes - same as its been since day one.

Don't forget the DSR part.  It really helps.

maybe it's the dsr working for you but for me and few more people Nvidia inspector has no effect on aa for dx9. I had to switch to DX10 to get it working

Just remember that there are very few nVidia published AA settings that actually do anything.  These are documented somewhere I believe in an article at Tom's Hardware.

Running FSX:SE. In dx9 mode the sim starts up fine but then after a few minutes the screen will freeze with the sim still running in the background (I can hear throttle changes). Selecting from the menus tends to give me a black screen and the whole sim crashes.

Running in dx10 preview seems to work fine for the most part.

I got nvidia inspector to work by running it as administrator.  Now I have my antialias working properly again.
