Third patrty download/install

Hope this is not regarded "off topic"

 

I have the latest version of Free AVAST but now cannot find a facility to

temporarily disable file and web features as a precaution when downloading

and installing add ons.

Anyone help please?

No need to do any of that. I've been using the free Avast for years.

From the Avast desktop icon/settings/active protection/On/Off

Please what is your version AVAST?

I do not have "Action Protection/on/off

under settings or anywhere else in AVAST.

No need to do any of that. I've been using the free Avast for years.

 

I agree. I've never had to disable any AV protection in order to install any add-on (including Avast).
