NA to EU general question

Recommended Posts

Hi all, just have a general question regarding crossing the pond in FSX.  Departing from NA I have the BARO set to IN.  I know EU uses HPA and have just been switching about half way across.  Wanting to be as realistic as possible wondering if there is an exact way to tell when to make the change.

Thanks,

Mike Clow

It's a lot more simple than you'd think:

Switch as soon as someone says "QNH xxxx," instead of "altimeter XX.XX." At cruise, you're at standard anyway.

Thanks Kyle, wow you were quick to reply.  Good stuff, makes sense, at cruise standard is standard.

Yeah, I jumped on to work on the sim computer, and while it's installing things I'm answering tickets and trawling the forum. Glad to help!
