Potential Prepar3d V3 Clue in FSUIPC Log 4.942 Release

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I was reinstalling my sim and low and behold on the FSUIPC Log it is checking for Prepar3d V3.  The release could be near

Here is the cut and paste

Looking in registry for Prepar3D v3 install path:
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3
     Parameter"SetupPath"
Not there, so looking in:
     HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3
     Parameter"AppPath"
... NOT found! ...

Damn, this is pretty cool find don't you think :-)

This is the first time I am seeing this in the logs.  I have directories of the older FSUIPC setups, and yep for once Mr. Dowson released a version before he goes on Vacation.  Looks like LM guys are in sync with Mr. Dowson's calendar.

The 4.941 release has it too, i don't know how I overlooked it.

Since my real work does involve probability then I am quite sure the release is getting closer.  Why else will FSUIPC be looking for V3

Rob, what do I have to do to be on the beta team for LM :-)

Oh Pete's gonna get in trouble for that one ;)

Good things are happening for V3 ... just be patient.

Cheers, Rob.

Any new and improved feature will be great.  VAS needs to be thing of the past, and I want to be able run with all sliders to the max and never touch settings again.  Either way I am excited about being surprised.  Exciting times

Wow this is really good news! It would be very nice to see 64-bit P3Dv3. The improvements from V1 to V2 were amazing, so hopefully V3 continues this trend of awesomeness. Lockheed Martin have done an amazing job transforming the sim.

Gentlemen, we may be coming the the golden ages of flight simulator. Virtual reality headsets are coming to the market soon and have already shown they can be great for simulators, 64-bit Prepar3d means not having to deal with another OOM ever, and PMDG starting to develop aircraft for X-Plane.

Exiting times are ahead.

Just out of interest Rob  .... are we to expect another 2.x update, i.e. 2.6 or is it straight to 3.0 ?

Then I won't ask anything else, I promise.

And call me when you are in Italy!

Andrea
