But those things happen even with a P3d 2.5 hotfix.

Which is still the responsibility of the developer(s), not L-M. The developer(s) chose to step outside the 'sandbox' that L-M provides... there's a cost and it's not L-M's responsibility.

 

As a developer, if I choose to step outside the sandbox... I take full responsibility for the consequences. As it should be.

It was ever thus - Because FSX code was static for years some developers chose to hook into it. etc. P3D is being now under development those hooks are no longer reliable.  Simply check those developers who have to change their add-ons when P3D changes.

Last I checked, neither P3D nor FSX uses a lot of VRAM to begin with. So I dont see how thats applicable. Alot of folks have 3-4 GB cards and I doubt even a GPU intensive 64 bit P3D could make them bottleneck.

With my 3 monitor setup I can make my graphics card use up to 4.6 Gb...

Lucky me with a Titan X ( 12 Gb )
