Am I able to use my GSX pushback vehicle and use the PMDG pushback option?

You should not use two pushback means at the same time. They will conflict each other.

The only reason I ask is because I usually never see the tow truck with default, so it looks funny being pushed back with nothing pushing back.  Only thing that shows is with GSX.  I am sure once UGCX comes out it will no longer be an issue.

If you want to see the pushback truck, why not just to use GSX and forget about PMDG's pushback?

You might want to research it, but if you can't see the default pushback tug, you probably don't have your FS sliders/options set sufficiently.

 

I'm not sure off hand though which slider is associated with the pushback tug.

Installation of GSX removes the default FSX tug. I don't know about the internals of GSX, but I imagine that it uses independent logic (as I imagine UGCX will) for pushback which would mean that use of the FSX internal pushback system would not display the FSX default tug.

That's right, GSX deletes the default tug.
