Nice shots. That's one of the things that bothers me with FSX/P3D: even when you're at 35,000 feet, it looks like you're at 10,000.

As one who has tried unsuccessfully..and given up trying to use the X-Plane (9 and  now 10.36)interface as being too hard , these images have rekindled my interest. Can I ask what addons/scenery/aircraft/tweaks are needed to get to this standard.

As one who has tried unsuccessfully..and given up trying to use the X-Plane (9 and  now 10.36)interface as being too hard , these images have rekindled my interest. Can I ask what addons/scenery/aircraft/tweaks are needed to get to this standard.

what part of the UI do you find too hard? at the forums we can always help.i do agree with you that xplane UI is not as easy as FSX but you can definitely  get the hang of it if you spend a couple of hours

Yea!  I always noticed that too.  It always bugged me.  If Microsoft was still developing flight sim they probably could improve on this.

W2xp with Alpinox HD mesh v3.

Textures default.

I'm very curious as to what location these are in. 

Confirm, freeware clouds.

 

The first 2 image, location is Lake Maggiore (italy) mountain.

 

The image low fly, location is Lake Garda (italy).

Also should be noted the shots are using Real Terra Haze which provides the great atmospherics.

To obtain this result not need anything.

All freeware.

 

Real terra haze is freeware.

W2xp and mesh hd v3 are freeware.

Clouds is freeware.

Sky is freeware.

Terrain textures are default (i not use photoreal scenery or simheaven).

Water is default.

 

Only Carenado aircraft is payware.
